Does anyone know how to get a tatoo removed and the cost?
I have a tatoo on my back and I want it removed. I know it would be cheaper to tatoo over it but I’m past that stage. Does anyone know how hard it is to get it removed. Is it painful,expensive, or both

Why do you want to remove it? If it’s in a private spot, my opinion would be to go over it. This can be performed quite successfully.
Look I don’t like being bald, or having a hairy back, or all the scars up my arms from being a chef. So I’m not going to regret my tattoos, they are who I am now.
ive seen a billboard down here in dallas that says 75$ per inch of tattoo removal and i heard it hurts worse than getting the actually tattoo and is an extremely long process. =o(
It depends on what you define as “hard” regarding having it removed. It is not “hard” per se, but it does take a number of sittings and sometimes doesn’t completely fade away.
The way they remove them is through the use of lasers. The doctor will use the laser to go over the area that is tattooed and the laser will break down the ink. As it breaks it down, it will be carried away by your body.
You can find clinics to get it done in most places. The laser hurts worse than the actual tattoo (so I’ve heard – I’ve never had one removed). It feels like getting snapped by a strong rubber band over and over again. It takes repeated sittings with the laser hitting the skin to completely breakdown the ink and have it carried away. The darker the tattoo is, the harder to remove it completely.
The expense involved is variable depending upon your location. Size of the tattoo, number of settings needed, etc, all will be a factor in determining cost. I remember reading somewhere that the average cost is around $2000.
You could probably find detailed info if you did a google search on “tattoo removal” or if you checked Web M.D. Sometimes wikipedia has good answers, but you have to be careful what you read there as anyone can add to it.

And it’s also time consuming, usually taking many sittings until it’s finally “gone.”
Even then sometimes you can still faintly see that it was there.
