wrecking balm?
has anyone ever tried that wrecking balm tattoo fader. I’ve heard all kinds of adds that this balm will fade your tats. I don’t want to get rid of my tattoo just fade it enough that a cover up won’t have any problems. I have two tats that I would like to cover with something else but want to fade them first so the pigment isnt as prominent. Any suggestions or experiences welcomed but what does anyone know about this wrecking balm

Yes, it will fade it by removing the color of the ink on the first 2-3 layers of skin. Not sure how it’ll do with a new cover up over it. But yes, it’ll fade it, but that’s all it’ll do.

i have some at home, i haven’t tried it, but my dad has. he seems pretty happy with it and it does look like it is fading the tats. however, its pretty abrasive so you’ll want some really really good lotion to put on after each treatment.
Consult a local tattoo artist, most of us are good enough that your tat doesn’t need to be faded to cover.
It’s a scam. It doesn’t work. People (like the above poster’s father) simply want to believe it does, so they imagine that it’s faded slightly. For example…
I work at a restaurant, and we have 2 sizes of bread rolls. We ran out of the small ones, but my manager thought we still had some. He was convinced. So he grabbed another bag, and said “Ah-ha! I told you!” but when we compared them side-by-side, they were the same size.
He BELIEVED the rolls were smaller, and so he percieved it to be so. But in reality, they weren’t.
If you had a picture of the tattoo “before” and “after” using that Wrecking Balm crap, you would see that there is no fading.
The only reliable method of removal, short of cutting off the skin, is STILL laser removal. Sorry.
I think you should talk to your tattooer before trying this I am not too sure but it may do something to your skin that may mess up your new tattoo. I am not positive but I would ask for sure
It doesn’t work. I wanted to remove some of mine, and would have been happy with some serious fading… but not working. I’m now undergoing very painful lazer treatments to have 7 removed… very painful, very expensive.
